European market leader in SD-WAN extends executive team to Silicon Valley
Zurich, Switzerland – July 19, 2018: Open Systems, the leader in secure SD-WAN solutions today announced, Amit Chatterjee, Silicon Valley veteran has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective July 19, 2018. Photograph by Noë FlumChatterjee’s appointment marks a significant investment in the U.S. Tapping into the agility and innovation of Silicon Valley, Chatterjee will be based in Open Systems’ new US office in Redwood City, California. With this change, Chatterjee will step down as chairman of the board and Dr. Bernd Michael Rumpf, who has served as a member of the board for the past year, will become board chairman. Former founders, Florian Gutzwiller and Goetz von Escher will step down as members of the Board.
Chatterjee will succeed current CEO, Martin Bosshardt, who will take on the role of President and will work closely with Chatterjee to define the Open Systems platform strategy as the company looks to enter new markets and secures digital business worldwide. After 16 years of leading Open Systems, Bosshardt is excited about his new role as President.

Chatterjee has more than 20 years of experience scaling enterprise SaaS companies and has a proven track record of driving business transformation and category leadership. Prior to joining the Open Systems board of directors, Chatterjee held positions at CA Technologies, SAP and McKinsey & Co., and launched four startups. He is on the Board of Directors for Innovyze, Direct ChassisLink Inc. (DCLI), Data Intensity, WorkStride, and LEAP Commerce, and attended UC Berkeley and Stanford University.
